Plectro ("the app") is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does — and does not — do with your information.
Plectro uses your microphone only while a practice session is active and the app is in the foreground. All audio is analyzed entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device signal-processing frameworks. Your audio is never recorded, never stored, and never transmitted off the device.
The app stores only non-identifying numeric metrics locally on your device — such as practice minutes, detected notes and chords, tuning data, and session scores. This data stays on your device and is used to show your stats and streaks.
Plectro does not collect personal information, and does not require an account to use. We do not sell or share data with third parties, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
Plectro does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If future versions add optional features (such as account sign-in or cloud sync), this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated to reflect them before those features are enabled.
